At Waco Vision Source, we believe great care starts with clear communication.
This page is here to help you feel prepared, confident, and informed—so there are no surprises before or after your visit.
To help you receive the best possible coverage, we ask for both your vision and medical insurance information.
Many medical plans include lesser-known benefits for eye exams that can sometimes provide better coverage than a vision plan alone. Reviewing both allows our team to determine the option that works best for you.
To verify benefits and file claims on your behalf, we ask that we receive your correct insurance information at least three (3) business days prior to your appointment.
Please keep in mind:
Co-pays, deductibles, and non-covered services are determined by your plan
If benefits cannot be verified in advance, payment is due at the time of service
We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement when applicable
📱 For your convenience, we offer a secure text option to submit photos of your insurance cards before your visit. Send them to 254.776.8119 as soon as possible after scheduling your appointment.
A refraction is the portion of your exam used to determine your glasses or contact lens prescription.
Many medical insurance plans—including standard Medicare—do not cover refraction. When not covered or filed to insurance, the refraction fee is $48, due at the time of service.
If you have questions about coverage or potential charges, we encourage you to contact us at least 48 hours before your appointment so we can review your options together.
Payment is expected at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made.
We accept:
Visa
MasterCard
American Express
Discover
CareCredit
Our team is always happy to answer questions about payment or financing options.
We reserve dedicated time for every patient and work hard to stay on schedule throughout the day.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer that time to another patient in need of care.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed entirely, may require a card on file for future scheduling. A $75 no-show fee applies to missed appointments.
Because medical and financial decisions may be made during pediatric visits, patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the entire appointment.
Clear expectations help create better experiences. If you have questions about insurance, coverage, fees, or scheduling, our team is always happy to help—just give us a call.
We look forward to caring for you and helping you Love How You See!
